Dorothy E. Hudson

The graveside service for Dorothy E. Hudson, 88, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. Mrs. Hudson was born in Lake City, SC, on August 10, 1934, and passed away at her residence on September 30, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William Eddie Jowers and Ila Mae Dukes Jowers. She grew up in Hemingway SC and moved to Columbia after her marriage. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, who made up the entirety of her world, her two sons, Terry Hudson (Charleston SC), Tommy Hudson ( Columbia SC), and her daughter, Brenda Krust (Columbia SC); and her grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Alex, Erika, Kelsey, Blake, Zach, and Jessica. Besides her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren she is survived by her brother, Bill Jowers (Columbia SC), and many loving nieces and nephews.
