April 19, 1925 – November 23, 2021:Dora Juanita Bullock, 96, of Irmo, S.C.passed away peacefully at her home.Visitation will begin at 2 PM December 1st and her service will begin at 3 PM in the chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, S.C.29212. Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate.Interment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Dora was born on April 19, 1925, in Union, S.C. to Willie Ancel Livingston and Pantha Ivey Livingston.She graduated from Union High School and attended the nursing school at the South Carolina Baptist Hospital graduating with a Diploma in Nursing.During WWII, she joined the U.S. CADET NURSE CORPS. At the end of the war, she began working in the O.B. Department at the Fort Jackson Hospital.After retiring from Fort Jackson, she continued her education and began working at the State Hospital in Columbia, SC at which time she obtained a Doctorate in Counseling. Survivors include children, Robert (Bobby) Bullock, JR. (Cherie Ergle), Shirley Diane Bullock, Dennis Meador (Kitty), Ann Meador, and Sandra Hollingsworth (Jon); grandchildren, Candace Vachon Bullock (Calvin Martin), Anna Coomes (Austin); great-grandchildren, Jonah Martin and Sawyer Coomes. Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A Bullock Sr.; parents, Willie Ancel and Pantha Ivey Livingston; sisters, Jean Sineath, Betty Wright; brother, Carl Livingston; nieces, Vera and Maude Gregory and grandson, Robert A. Bullock III. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
