CHAPIN—Funeral service for Donald Henry Price, 73, of Chapin will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Mt. Horeb Lutheran Church, 101 East Boundary St., Chapin, SC 29036 with the Reverend Ralph G. Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204. The family will receive friends10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Donald Henry Price passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017.Born in Leesville, SC, he was the son of the late Guy Wilson Price and Ozalee Black Price.Donald was a 1962 graduate of Old Columbia High School.He retired from SC Department of Transportation. He was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for over 60 years, he joined Mt. Horeb Lutheran church in 2010.Donald was a good big brother to his sisters, playing baseball, riding bikes, jumping over the creek, climbing trees, making sling shots and playing board games. We will miss him dearly! Surviving are his three sisters, Nancy Price Crogen of Chapin, Linda Price Peterson of Columbia and Patsy Price Ackerman (Steve) of Edisto Beach; a niece, Kimberly Kiker (Neal) and twonephews, Billy Byars (Denise) and Brian Crogen (Rebecca).Donald was predeceased by his parents, niece, Debra Baker, brother-in-law, Kirk Peterson and fur baby, Homer. The family wishes to thank Abby Road Hospice and First Light Home Care for their loving care and compassion for Donald during his time of illness. Memorials may be made to Mt.
