West Columbia—The inurnment for Dixon Kenneth Reidenbach, 66, of West Columbia and his late mother, Sarah Hewitt Reidenbach, will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.in Historic Elmwood Cemetery, 501 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, S.C. 29201. Temples Halloran Funeral Home is assisting the family. Dixon was born on January 10, 1952, in Kingsport, TN to the late F. Thomas Reidenbach, Sr. and Sarah Hewitt Reidenbach.He passed away on June 23, 2018. Dixon, a.k.a. Dick, graduated from the old Columbia High School, class of 1969, where he was voted “Most Talented”in his Senior Class. He earned his degree in Music and Jazz studies from North Texas State in 1979.Dixon later attended the University of South Carolina Graduate School of Music Performance.In 1989 he attended IBM Agent School and founded Paradigm Technologies, Inc. in 1990. A self-described itinerant musician, Dixon played with national bands; The Columbians, The Brother Band, and Brasstown, a regional band from Columbia, The Endless Summer Band and international recording star, B.J. Thomas.He also did studio work for many other musicians.Dixon was an accomplished trombone player and vocalist. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cherry Horton Reidenbach. Those who preceded him in death besides his parents were grandparents, Reverend Dr. A. Kenneth Hewitt and Jane Dixon Hewitt; uncle, A. Kenneth Hewitt, Jr.; brothers, F. Thomas Reidenbach, Jr. and John Hewitt Reidenbach; cousin, Dixie Boyles.
