Della B. Stephens

Della B. Stephens , 56, of Irmo passed away peacefully on Sunday, November26th, 2017. A memorial service will be held at Gateway Baptist Church, 1651 Dutch Fork Road, Irmo, SC 29063 at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, with The Reverend Don Brock officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Temples Halloran Funeral Home is assisting the family. Born on August 29, 1961 in Vacaville, CA she was the daughter of the late Ray Coye Bass and Sherrill Douglas Craft. She lived in Irmo, SC and attended Gateway Baptist Church. Della went to Midlands’s Technical College and earned an Associate’s degree to be an x-ray technician.She worked in this field up to the time her son David was born, where she did her favorite job, be a MOM. Della did suffer from Multiple Sclerosis for the last ten years of her life. She was a beautiful soul and loved her family and friends very much. Della is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 29 years, David (Rick) Stephens Sr.; son’s David Richard Stephens, Jr. (Jessica) and Lani Godfrey, all of Irmo, SC.Brothers; Ray W Bass, of Orlando, FL, Scott Bass (Charlotte) of Greenville, SC;Sister in law; Becky Bass, of Irmo, SC, as well as many nephews and nieces whom Della loved very much. She was also predeceased in death by sister; Debra Lee Bass, and brother; Robert Dozier Bass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Greater Carolina, 3101 Industrial Drive, Suite 210, Raleigh, NC 27609.
