Daylon Allen Canfield

Daylon Canfield was born on March 20, 2001, in Rome, NY. He moved with his father and younger siblings to SC in June of 2012. He loved fast cars, fishing, video games, and in his younger years, sword fighting and archery. He was a skilled sword fighter and marksman. He was also a former USBC youth bowler for several years as a teen. Most afternoons, evenings, and nights he could be found tinkering with a car, going on a spur of the moment trip to the beach, going fishing, or more recently, working on his jeep that he bought. He enjoyed going to car club meets with his friends and showing off his loud car. He was predeceased by his mother, Laura Ann Canfield, in November of 2011. Surviving are his parents, Jason and Rebecca Canfield of Columbia, SC; siblings, Jason Canfield Jr of Binghamton, NY, Reign, Ari, Lizzie, and Tristan Canfield of Columbia, SC his fiancée Alysa Berry of Leesville, SC his grandparents Sue and Craig Glassman of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Lyle and Debbie Compo of Rome, NY, Frankie Lewis of Columbia, SC and Michael and Marian Branch of Blackstock, SC, his Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Mark Pyatak of Jacksonville, FL, his Aunt Jessica Glassman of Margate FL, his Aunt Brittany and Uncle Garrett Jones of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. and his cousins Tiffani Dodge, Adeline and Mark Jon Pyatak, Junior, Chris, and Craig Rees. The family would also like to recognize his close friends Ty, Nick, and Mitch. A memorial service will be held for Daylon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the Chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home (5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212), with the Reverend Karl Strohminger officiating. The family will greet friends on the day of the funeral from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
