Dante Hugh Tomasini,

COLUMBIA—Dante H. Tomasini, Jr. 68, of Columbia, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center. Born in Boston, Mass, he was the son of the late Dante H. Tomasini, Sr. and Alma Wagner Tomasini.Dante was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, a diehard Gamecock fan as well as all professional sports teams from Boston.Dante was employed with Colonial Life for 27 years. He was a devoted and faithful member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church for over 40 years. He was extremely well known for his coaching contributions in the Irmo area as well as basketball Leagues at Seven Oaks Park. Surviving are his loving wife, Donna Tomasini of 36 years; daughter, Jill Farley (Tim); son, Mark Tomasini, fiancé, Emily Hals; sisters, Kathy Tomasini, Ursula Frazier (David) and Emma Strong (Tim); brother, Michael Tomasini (Bonnie) and lastly the family cat, Skitter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Father David Whitman will officiate.
