LEXINGTON—A graveside service for Daniel “Stoney” Leach Floyd, Sr., 63, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Tim Shull will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Stoney, beloved husband of Cheryl Ann Floyd, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. Born in Mullins, SC, he was the son of Barbara Floyd and the late Tom L. Floyd.He worked for Pepsi for over 24 years, loved dirt track racing and was the crew chief for the family race car.He also loved to fish. Surviving in addition to his wife of 28 years, Cheryl Ann Floyd; mother, Barbara Ann Stone Floyd; sons, Daniel Leach Floyd, Jr. and Gene Ray Collins; sisters, Brenda Meetze (Gerald) and Dee Kempson (Carroll); brother, Mark Floyd (Cathy); and seven grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Floyd Pate and his father, Tom L. Floyd.
