Daniel Nelson “Danny” Livingston, Sr., 71, of Fort Motte, South Carolina, died December 16, 2017.Born on March 10, 1946 in Livingston, South Carolina he was the son of the late James Hugh Livingston and Ellena (Tindal) Livingston.Danny was preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Livingston; brothers, Hughey Livingston Jr. and Wayne Livingston; brothers in law, Tommy Skipper and Kemp Skipper. Survivors include Danny’s beloved wife of the home, Jennie Skipper Livingston; daughters, Sonya Livingston Alewine of Columbia and Melissa Hope Kelly of Lexington; a son, Danny Livingston Jr. of Lexington; one grandchild, Ty Kelly of Lexington; one great grandchild, Emma Kelly of Greenville; sisters in law, Vera Livingston of Lexington,Sylvia Livingston of Irmo, Juanita Livingston and Becky Jones of Cayce; stepchildren, Dana Livingston and Rhonda Robinson both of Lexington, and Dean Hancock of Leesville. Prior to residing in Ft. Motte, S.C. Danny lived in Irmo, S.C. where he worked roadway construction all of his life and proudly served CR Jackson, INC. Contractors for 24 years.Danny enjoyed spending time with family and friends.He enjoyed cooking and barbecuing, playing the guitar and writing musicas well as living on the Congaree River where he could hunt and fish regularly. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at St. Matthews Parish Episcopal Church, 1164 Fort Motte Road, Fort Motte, South Carolina, 29135 with the Reverend Janet Echols officiating.The family will greet friends following the service in the Parish Hall at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthews Parish Episcopal Church.
