Daniel Kurtik, 76 of White Rock, SC passed away October 11th, 2017. Mr. Kurtik was the son of the late Adolf and Mary Kurtik. Born in New Kensington, Pa.; moved to Baltimore, Md. He was a resident of Dundalk for most of his life. Mr. Kurtik worked at Bethlehem Steel in Dundalk for 25 years and moved to White Rock, S.C. after his retirement. After retirement, Mr. Kurtik worked as a Courier for several years in South Carolina. Mr. Kurtik was a Master Carpenter, and loved Trains and Antique Cars. Dan’s hobby was Woodworking and made beautiful and unique items which he gave to friends and family. His wood items won 1st Place Blue Ribbons at the S.C. State Fair 3 years in a row Daniel was married to his wife Janice for 36 years. Survivors include his wife, Janice; son, Mark Kurtik (Patti); daughter, Janice Denk (Tom); stepdaughter, Lisa Musselman (Butch); stepson, Harry Pollock; grandchildren, Ashley Musselman (Cody), Blake Musselman, all of Columbia, Jason Musselman of Fredericksburg, Va., Alexandra Hood (Andrew) from Delaware, Mark Kurtik Jr.(Megan) of Dundalk, Katelyn Kurtik of Middle River, Md., Tommy Denk, (Nicole) of Middle River. He also had 5 great grandchildren. Dan will be very much missed by his family and friends. Per his wishes Mr. Kurtik, will be cremated and there will be no services. A memorial will be held at a later date. Temples-Halloran Funeral Home are providing services.
