Cynthia Ann Nelson

Cynthia Ann Nelson, age 51, passed away on October 1, 2019, after losing her battle against breast cancer. She was born on October 20, 1967, to Barbara Ruth Dominowski and William Anthony Schuster. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Northern Illinois University and practiced law in her own firm. She was, first and foremost, a dedicated mother and loving friend. Cindy is survived by her parents Barbara Dominowski and Frank Dominowski. She is the mother of Tiffany Nelson, Chelsea Nelson, Chance Nelson, Trace Nelson, Madison Nelson, and Natalie Nelson. Cherished grandmother of Astrid Nelson, Emaleigh Owen, and Mason Owen, who will all miss their Nana very much. Loving godmother of Alex Moore and Alaina Moore. Beloved best friend of Lori Moore, who met her at the gates of Heaven. Cindy was known for her big heart and her sense of humor. She never missed an opportunity to help someone in any way she could. She was determined, brave, and never let anything get in her way. Cindy was a fighter who never gave up or let cancer destroy her faith. She will always be remembered for her remarkable courage and her love for the Lord she shared with everyone who met her. Though she may not be here anymore, she will live on in the hearts and memories of those who love her. A memorial service will be held in her honor at, 2:00 p.m.,Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Columbia International University in Community Building 1000.
