Charles Edward Muncatchy

Charles Edward Muncatchy passed away in peace, at age 92, on March 11, 2018.He was predeceased by his wife of over fifty years, Ruth Alida (Mattern) Muncatchy and daughter, Linda Muncatchy.He was born in Mount Carmel, PA on October 2, 1925.His family moved to Dearborn, Michigan.He served in the Air Force in WWII.He attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, where he met and married Ruth.Charles and Ruth moved to Dearborn, Michigan.They had three children, Linda, Charles and Robert.He worked for Dearborn Public Schools for 36 years as a custodian, fireman, and engineer.After retirement, Charles and Ruth live in Cape Coral, FL for many years and both were members of Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral. He is survived by Dr. Charles P,. Muncatchy and wife, Sharon from Chesterfield, Michigan and Mr. Robert J. Muncatchy and wife, Roberta from Columbia, SC.His sister, Mary Louise Wilkes survives him and he has many nieces and nephews. Charles has seven grandchildren: Lisa, Michael, Kathryn, Alexander, Jennifer, Heather and Alicia.He also has been blessed by great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16 at McFarland Foss Funeral Home, 5401 Schaefer Road., in Dearborn, Michigan 48126 from 10 a.m. to noon flowed by a funeral service.Interment will be at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.He will be missed by all the members of his extended family friends.
