Charles Larry Harmon

COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Larry will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 363 Bethany Road, Saluda, SC 29138. The Reverend Ken Freeman, Jr. will preside.Interment will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive guests after the service at the church. Larry passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at his home.Larry was born in Saluda County to the late Daniel Byrd and Lorene Ruff Harmon.He enjoyed a long and successful career with Milliken & Company.He was an avid Gamecock fan and delighted in tailgating with family and friends. Larry had a passion for bowling and playing golf.Larry loved his family and friends. He leaves behind his wife who shall always love him with all of her heart,Anne Hallman Harmon; brother, Horace Harmon of Saluda; sister-in-law, Virginia Burnett Harmon of Columbia; 3 sons, Frank E. Thomson, T. Keith Thomson both of Asheville, NC and David Hallman Thomson (Sharon) of Columbia; 5 grandchildren, Sarah Thomson, Durham, NC, Edwin Wood, Ian Thomson, William Thomson all of Columbia and Michael Thomson of St. Petersburg, FL; nieces, nephew and his beloved dog, Zale.He was predeceased by his brothers, James Harmon and Frazier Harmon; sisters, Gladys Bledsoe, Vera Buffington and Edna Outz.
