COLUMBIA—Catherine R. Gaulin, 90, of Columbia, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Agape Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Born in Ridgeville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Macon and Ollie Rhodes Rumph. She was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church.Catherine retired after 25 years of service from Wachovia Bank where she worked as a teller. She also took care of husband for 25 years until his death. Surviving are two daughters, Carole Nungezer (George) of Columbia and Diana Nagoda of Irmo; sister, JoAnn Sanford (Earl) of Lexington; five grandchildren, McClure Webb, Emily Hodges (Jeremy), Ian Nungezer (Caroline), Sarah and Kaylee Nagoda; two great-grandchildren, Webb and Boyd Hodges; along with a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Leon L. Gaulin and a brother, Herbert Rumph and his wife, Meleeta. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, with the Reverend Tresco E. Shannon and Reverend Jim Nates officiating. Temples Halloran Funeral Home will be assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Ashland United Methodist Church, 2600 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC 29210.
