Caroline Dennis Davis

A funeral service for Caroline Dennis Davis, 91, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, March 4, 2022, in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home. Connie Downs White will officiate.The family will greet friends from 12 pm – 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Caroline was born on June 26, 1930, in Columbia, SC to the late Magilbra Iven Dennis and Mary Isla Graham Dennis.She passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022.Caroline was a lifelong member of Park Street Baptist Church, where she was GA Director, a Sunday School Teacher, and sang in the choir. She was a faithful and devout member until the very end.Caroline enjoyed bowling and doting on her beautiful family.She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Downs (Rick); grandchildren, Kimberly and Christopher Downs; great-grandchildren, Aulden, Avienda “Avi”, Alyssa, and Kylie.She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Johnny H. Davis; son, Dennis Davis; sisters, Ethel Ellison, and a perfect stillborn baby girl; brothers, Harmon Dennis, Iven Dennis, Jr., Ervin Dennis, Paul Dennis, Clinton Dennis, and Sammy Dennis.
