Irmo – A memorial service for Carl Todd Derrick, 52, of Irmo, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, with The Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt officiating. Todd passed away unexpectedly and entered into eternal life on Friday, June 22, 2018.Born in Robeson County, NC, he was the son of the late Elton Carl Derrick and Jeanie Jacques Derrick.Todd attended Irmo schools and graduated from Will Lou Gray Opportunity School in West Columbia, SC.He was a mechanic by trade and was a lifelong NASCAR fan.He cherished nothing more than his beloved cats, Ashley and KoKo.Todd will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and trusting soul. Todd is survived by his sister, Donna Derrick Moye (Mark) of Columbia; nephews, Brandon Derrick (Melanie), Collin Moye, and Baron Moye of Columbia; and great-niece, Madison Derrick of Columbia.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl Havird and Ozelia Harmon Derrick and Charles B. and Helen M. Jacques. Todd was blessed to know and have relationships with his biological family.He is also survived by his birthmother, Elizabeth L. McLean, and siblings, William McLean Cieluch, Julia C.
