Camilla Frances Wann, 56, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, May 15th after a battle with Ulcerative Colitis. Cammie was born on April 19th, 1967, to Frances Wann Fulghum and Charles Billy Wann in Corpus Christi, Texas. After Cammie graduated from Irmo High School in 1985, she went on to study Education at The University of South Carolina where she received her undergraduate degree and began teaching as an elementary school teacher at Nursery Road. After graduating with a Master’s degree in Secondary Education at Columbia College, she continued her career in teaching. Her true love was middle school education. In 1982, Cammie met Matt at Irmo High School. Cammie and Matt went on to have two children, Casey Derrick Stokes and Jacob Derrick while they were married. Even after their divorce, they continued to parent together in the best interest of their children. Cammie was a loving mother who dedicated her time to her family and was also a member of Union United Methodist Church. Cammie was predeceased by her father, Charles Billy Wann; and her grandparents, William and Ada Wann; Fred and Augazalle Henson. She is survived by her children, Casey Derrick Stokes (Blake); Jacob Derrick (Megan); her grandson, Tolan Derrick; her mother, Frances Wann Fulghum, and her sister, Wendy Wann Littleton. Services will be held at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29212 on Monday, May 22nd, at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
