Brian Christopher Davis

Brian Christopher Davis, 49, of Irmo, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 after a long, brave battle with cancer. He was born in Columbia on May 3, 1974, to Diane Wilson Davis and the late Roy Lee Davis. Brian was a 1992 graduate of Irmo High School. He earned an associate degree from Midlands Technical College and graduated with a bachelor's degree from USC-Spartanburg in 1998. He worked as a Grants Administrator for SLED funding federal and statewide grants. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about landscaping. He began working with his Dad and B & B Lawncare at the age of 12. He became the owner and operator of B & B Lawncare in his early thirties. His son, Mattox, continues the business today. Brian loved being Dad to his twins, Chase and Mattox and his youngest son, Brady. The four of them had fun sharing their love of four wheelers, dirt bikes and Nascar. He supported all of their extra-curricular activities from baseball to dance and shared the pride he had in his boys with all that he knew. Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his loving wife of 23 years, Heather Mathias Davis; his sons, Chase Watson Davis, Mattox Christopher Davis, and Bradyn “Brady” Pierce Davis of Irmo, SC. as well as his favorite pups, Remi and Bentley. He is also survived by his brother, Bradlee Wilson Davis of Raleigh, NC. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Reverend Gary Loadholt and the Reverend Amanda Burke will officiate. A reception will be held following the service in the church fellowship hall. All are invited to attend.
