Brandon Keshaun Martin

July 17, 2005 — August 19, 2024

Brandon Keshaun Martin, 19, of Chapin, passed away suddenly on Monday August 19, 2024. He was born on July 17, 2005, to Albert B. Austin and Tina Hope Martin. Brandon attended Lexington-Richland School District 5 schools including Chapin High School. He was an athlete and played soccer and basketball for Riverland Hills Baptist Church. He also participated in mixed martial arts and karate. Brandon had a bigger-than-life personality and the heart of a giver. He always put others before himself and always helped anyone in need. He had a never-ending love for the strong women in his family. His Nana, mother, Aunt KK and his GG (GREEDY grandma) were his everything. Brandon had a deep love and passion for animals and the outdoors. Building Legos and video games were a few of his favorite hobbies. Anyone who came across him said he had a way of making their day. His way of showing you he loved you was by picking and making jokes about you and if you did it back to him that made it even better. Besides his mother and father, Brandon is survived by his siblings, Cybil Porter, Joey Porter, and Jordan Prince; his maternal grandparents, Toni McDaniel and Boris McDaniel; his paternal grandparents, Carstina Austin and Benard Austin; and his GG, Rachel Martin. He is also survived by his aunts, Karen Martin, Danielle Gerstner, and Amber Cameron and uncle, Reggie Cameron. Brandon was a true light to many in his short life and is survived by so many other friends and family. A funeral service will be held for Brandon at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2024, in the chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home. The Reverend Bill Haselden will officiate the service. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift in Brandon’s memory to The Epilepsy Foundation (Epilepsy Foundation).
