Bobby Gene Salinas

The memorial service for Bobby Gene Salinas (74), of Columbia, will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the Christian Life Church, 2700 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29210. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Bobby was born on June 12, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and departed this earthly life on January 27, 2023. He was the son of the late Domingo Salinas and Mildred Tyler Salinas. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Bobby served in the Army Reserves as a medic. He later spent most of his working years in several sales positions, most recently in the insurance industry. Bobby was a longtime member of Christian Life Church and served as head usher for over 20 years. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 32 years: Cindy Salinas; his daughters: Donna Everett (Steve) and Madison Salinas; sons: David Salinas and Chad Henderson (Lydia); sisters: Anita Meehan, Rosemary Capetillo (Samuel), Margaret Thome; brothers: Ernie Salinas (Karol), Daniel Salinas (Melonie), Donald Salinas (Susan); grandchildren: Christina, Jordan, Presley, Lorelei, and Maeve; and the beloved family dog: Coco. Bobby was preceded in death by his brother Ray Salinas.
