Beverly Whisnant Allen

LEXINGTON—Funeral services will be held for Beverly Whisnant Allen, 64, of Lexington, at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Officiating will be Reverend Helen Harrison Coker. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.The family will greet friends from 1:30-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral. Mrs. Allen passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015.Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Frank L. Whisnant and Martha Coltharp Whisnant. She was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church.Beverly retired from the Laszlo Skin Care Company after 15 years of service, where she was a consultant calling on Major Retail Department Stores. Surviving are her husband, Marion Brockington Allen; son, Connor T. Allen (Ashlea); daughter-in-law, Emily Allen; grandchildren, Olivia and Ella Allen; brother, Frank L. Whisnant, Jr. (Jane); sister, Carolyn W. Lucado (Charles B.). She is preceded in death by a son, Ryan Brockington Allen.
