Betty Sloan Sanders

A funeral service for Betty Sloan Sanders, 86, of Columbia, will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 2 p.m.Reverend Steve Johns officiating. The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel. Betty was born in Columbia, SC on May 20, 1935, to the late Arthur Brooks Sloan and Sidney Taylor Sloan.She passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2022.She was a member of Kennerly Road Baptist Church.She has lived in Columbia for over 40 years. Survivors include her son, Mark C. Sanders; 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Cecil Sanders; daughter, Carol S. Knight, and a brother, Terry Brooks Sloan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kennerly Road Baptist Church, 1526 Kennerly Road, Irmo SC 29063.
