Betty O. Hicks

On May 6, 2022, Betty O’Neal Hicks at the age of 92 found her eternal peace. She was the sixth child of Bogan Cash and Lillie Adams O’Neal of Hartsville.Betty attended Hartsville High School and Limestone College.She married Troy Hicks and then moved to Columbia.Betty retired from Richland Wholesale Liquor of Columbia.After retiring, she moved to Chapin where she enjoyed gardening and visiting her friends and neighbors.Betty was known for her exceptional memory and knowledge of her family history. Betty is survived by daughters, LaDovia Beaver (Alan) and Shelvia DuBose (John Peake). She also leaves behind many loving and caring nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, parents; brothers, Phelix, Holland, BC Jr.; sisters, Virginia, Myrtle; son-in-law, Sonny DuBose, also many grand dogs. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful care given by, Dr. Jeffrey Hook & his staff for many years.
