Barbara Jean Nolan

Barbara was born in Philadelphia, PA to George and Adelaide Sims. She was raised in Philadelphia with two brothers and six sisters. She is survived by sisters, Addie and Susie. Barbara later married Thomas Nolan and would go on to have four children, Colleen (rip Billy), Kelly (rip Herb), Patrick (Amy) and Robert (Denise). She would enjoy life with her huge family of ten grandchildren, sixteen great grands and one great great grand. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara made homes in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Michigan and South Carolina. She loved her jobs at Holman Lincoln Mercury and CVS pharmacy. Barbara had the unique ability to make everyone feel like the “favorite.” Barbara was a sweet, sassy, headstrong and loving woman and will be missed by all. A graveside service for Barbara Jean Nolan will be held at Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29212 on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. with a visitation prior from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Reverend Maurice Webber will officiate.
