Barbara S. Floyd

Barbara S. Floyd, 88, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born in Mullins, SC, on July 21, 1935, and was the daughter of Jacob Daniel Stone and Mary Jane Hartley Stone. Barbara retired as a bookkeeper for K-Mart after over 30 years of service. Barbara is survived by a daughter, Dee Kempson (Carroll) of Columbia and a son, Mark Floyd (Cathy) of Irmo. She had seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of over 30 years, Tom Leach Floyd, Jr.; a daughter, Brenda Meetze; and a son, Daniel “Stoney” Floyd. A graveside service for Barbara will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the graveside from noon until the hour of the service.
