Barbara Hershman Bargery

COLUMBIA—Ms. Bargery died August 13, 2016, Columbia, SC.Born in Miami, FL on July 21st. She was the daughter of the late William McKinley Hershman and Sarah Gregory Hershman. A widow of USAF (Ret) Colonel Basil Lynnwood Bargery of 41 years.Member of Grace United Methodist Church.Graduate of Myrtle Beach High School, attended Columbia College.Former Miss Myrtle Beach.She fought a battle with Carcinoid Cancer.Now at peace and home with her Lord and Savior. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Brett E. and Lisa Bargery of Mesa, AZ; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Bargery Blinn and Steve of Charlotte, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Betty H. and Jack L. Walters of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Chandler Bargery, Hayley Bargery and Brayden Blinn; nephews, Darren Norris, Kenny Hershman, Michael Hershman, Samuel Presley, Paul Bargery, Kevin Bargery, Jesse Bargery and Chris Bargery; nieces, Beth Well, Sara Frances Gowan, Robin Moore and Rev. Sheri Fry.She was preceded in death by her brother, William McKinley Hershman and a sister, Blanche Hershman Gordinier. Funeral services for Barbara L. Bargery, 83,will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the funeral home.
