Arthur Wells Askins

Arthur Wells Askins, 76, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2020.Born in Florence County, SC on January 15, 1944, to the late Albert Heywood Askins and Inez Mitchum Askins. Arthur worked for Proctor Gamble and, GMAC Finance Company for several years.Arthur owned and operator of his Jewelry Store for many years.He also worked for Acosta Food Service for twenty years. Arthur was a proud Army veteran. Surviving includes his loving wife of 36 years, Patricia Payne Askins of Columbia; sisters, Mitchie Brizallis and Polly Garlinton; his first wife, Anne D. Askins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Linda Windham; and his four-legged babies, Bentley, Morgan, Lexus and baby girl. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Greg Askins; brother, Heywood Askins; mother-in-law, Iris Payne.
