Anne M. Lanier

Columbia—The memorial service for Anne M. Lanier, 74, of Columbia will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Reverend David Byars will officiate.The Long/McKinney Family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Anne was born in Greenville on June 4, 1944, and passed away on December 31, 2018.She was the daughter of the late Harold B. McKinney and Juanita Jones McKinney. Anne was a graduate of Greenville High School, received her undergraduate degree from Furman University and her Masters in Education from the University of South Carolina.She attended Riverland Hills Baptist Church.Anne had worked in Richland School District One for 30+ years. Surviving relatives include; son, Billy O. “Beau” Long, Jr. of West Columbia; brother, Ben McKinney and wife, Cathy of McCormick; grandchildren, Ashton Long, Ryan Crowe, Hamlin, and Austin Lee. Those who preceded her in death besides her parents, was her daughter, Angee L. Lee, and ex-husband, Billy O. Long Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anne’s honor may be made to American Cancer Society, 200 Center Point Circle, Ste. 100, Columbia, SC 29210.
