Ann Saylor, 92, of Chapin, passed away on January 14, 2022.She transitioned peacefully in her sleep at the home she shared with her daughter. Ann was born in Batesburg, South Carolina and lived in Columbia for the majority of her life. For a short time, Ann resided in Denver, Colorado where her daughter, D’Michelle P. DuPre “Doc,” was also born.Ms. Saylor worked for Southern Bell as a circuit order clerk and eventually retired from the security department after thirty three years of dedicated service.Ann loved all sports, especially NASCAR and football. Her favorite teams to cheer for included the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Atlanta Braves, and the Dallas Cowboys.Ms. Saylor was also an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.Ann’s fondest memories stem from a two month tour trouping through Europe with her daughter. Ms. Saylor had the ability to connect with everyone she met.She is fondly remembered by many of her daughter’s friends for her kind and listening ear as well as her loving and generous spirit.Above all else, Ann will be revered for always encouraging D’Michelle to follow her dreams. Ms. Saylor’s legacy will live on through her daughter and in the hearts of all those she knew. She is predeceased by her first husband Jack Personne of Grand Junction, Colorado and widowed from Grover W. Saylor of Swansea. Ann's celebration of life service will be private.
