Alma E. Richardson Mcneely

IRMO – Alma Estelle Richardson McNeely, 89, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016. Born in Richland County, Alma was a daughter of the late Jacob Willie Richardson and Maggie White Richardson. She was the wife of the late Robert E. McNeely, Sr. She is survived by three children, Lawrence E. McNeely (Sandra), Robert E. McNeely, Jr. (Jane), and Cynthia Christy (John, Sr.); 6 grandchildren, Angela Fallaw (Greg), Andrew McNeely (Dana), Megan Taylor (Stefan), Eric McNeely, John Christy, Jr. and Margaret Christy; 6 great-grandchildren, Isabella, Darrell, Jackson, Carson, Rosealynn and Owen.Alma loved to cook for her family, work in her yard, crochet and spend time with her children.Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her heart, as she was theirs, she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob McNeely, brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry (Nan), Jake (Marie), Fred (Minnie Lee), Billy (Tina) Richardson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Clyde (Oscar) Amick, Martha (Pat) Leaphart, Emma Lee (Ralph) Gaston and Ruby (Louis) Kustas. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home with a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in Bush River Memorial Gardens, both are located at 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 on Saturday, March 19, 2016, which would have been her 90th birthday.
