Allen Frederick Batzinger

Cartersville, GA—Allen Frederick Batzinger, 83, passed away at his Georgia home on June 12th, after battling a prolonged illness. Allen was born November 20th, 1934 in Union, New Jersey. He was a proud Air Force veteran who served his country during the Korean War. Allen will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Virginia (Ginny) Bass Batzinger, with whom he shared 60 loving and devoted years of marriage. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Nelson; son, Brant Batzinger; daughter-in-law Torri Batzinger; his three grandchildren, Aubrey Batzinger, Kaden Batzinger, Sierra Rose and her husband Patrick Rose; his great-grandson, Jamie Rose; his sister-in-law, Rubye O'Brien; along with many adoring nieces and nephews. Allen is predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Gretel Batzinger; his sister Betty Simon; and his father and mother-in-law, Henry and Kate Bass. A celebration of Allen's life will be held on June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
