COLUMBIA—Memorial services for Alice J. de Kozlowski, 62, of Columbia will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015 at McGregor Presbyterian Church, 6505 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29212 with the Reverend Julie Walkup Bird officiating.A reception will follow the service at the church.Inurnment will follow at a later date in Cheyney, PA. Born in Bronxville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Franklin Hoehn and Marie Alice Lang Hoehn.She grew up in Stamford, CT and was a graduate of Bridgewater College, VA where she met her husband of 38 years.Alice was a committed and loving mother to her children and created a welcoming home where their friends gathered. She loved to travel and go on “great adventures” with her husband enjoying the out of doors. Alice looked forward to vacationing at the beach each summer with her family. She was passionate about good health and the gym became her second home where she made many friends. An avid reader and consumer of knowledge, she was a frequent visitor to local libraries and museums. Alice made a point of enjoying the simple, peaceful parts of life. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Surviving are her beloved husband, Steven J. de Kozlowski; daughter, Jocelyn Marie de Kozlowski of Columbia; sons, Jeffrey Kazimir de Kozlowski of Wake Forest, NC and Michael Steven de Kozlowski of Columbia; sister, Janet Paschall (Edward) of Wilmington, DE; grandchild, Jacob Sallee of Mt. Pleasant, SC; aunt, Barbara Hoehn of Darien, CT; son-in-law, Erik W. Moule of Charleston, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Hoehn and daughters, Sandra Alice Moule and Catherine Sarah de Kozlowski.
