IRMO—Albert Joseph (Buster) Guichard, Jr. died March 1, 2016.The son of Anne McKerron and Albert J. Guichard, Sr. was born March 24, 1924 in Graniteville, Mass.He was a member of the Signal Corp., US Army, and served in New Guinea and the Philippines.He was employed by Decotone in Westminister, MA and later transferred to Carolina Gravure in Lexington, SC. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Winifred “Tessie” Testard Guichard.Also surviving are his daughters: Barbara (Dick) Page of Ashburnham, MA., and Pamela (Jeff) Thomann of Ashby, MA.His grandchildren are Heather (John) Sarasin; Naomi (Chris) Scott; Tamara (Daniel) Hines; Sarah and Kelley Lopes.Great grandchildren:Tyler, Connor and Jared Sarasin; Kayla, Alisha, Nicholas and Bryce Scott; Stazja and Cohen Hines.Also surviving are step grandchildren Nicholas, Deena, John, Joaquin and Hugo.Also surviving are his sisters Dolores Pearson of Gardner, MA; and Katie Beaulieu of Shelburne, MA and half sister Mary Guichard of MA. In South Carolina he is survived by step-children Marty (Tommy) Johnson, Mike (Iris) Rentz and Mary Rentz and step-grandchildren Stephenie Johnson, McCabe Rentz, Sara and (Seth) Krisnow and Michael Rentz also step-great granddaughter Olivia Krisnow. Mr. Guichard was preceded in death by his siblings Loraine, Edward, Roland and Robert Guichard. Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road is assisting the family.Visitation is Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. and funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Pastor Wayne Cole, of Riverland Hills Baptist Church which Mr. Guichard was a member will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
