Albert "Al" H. Taylor

The funeral service for Albert H. (Al) Taylor, 71 of Irmo, will be held on Saturday December 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate.Inurnment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 26, 1946, Al was the son of the late Howard William Taylor and Lucille Nina Terry Taylor.When he wasn’t working at Apex Tools over a 50-year career, he was an avid traveler that loved to read spy novels, watch science fiction movies and root for his South Carolina Gamecocks. He loved his grandchildren but never missed an opportunity to playfully rib them with his incredible sense of dry humor. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra A. Lohuis Taylor of the home, sons, Kevin T. Taylor (Melissa) of Irmo, Chris M. Taylor (Michelle) of Greenville, S.C. and Jason J. Taylor of Irmo. Sisters of the decedent, Paige Cavalier, Jean Findlay, and Nina Gant.Grandchildren, Collyn P. Taylor, Bradley A. Taylor, and Dalaney A. Taylor.Additional family members, Lloyd and Paula Lohuis, Marjorie and Abraham Hernandez, Rick and Jeanne Molenkamp, Dawn Burnette, and Michaela Baker. Three beloved family pets, Simon, Mitten, and Jackie.Those that preceded him in death are his late parents.
